Bodyguard collapsible water container
A collapsible water container that folds completely flat when empty—and holds up to 10 liters of clean drinking water when you need it. Made from BPA-free, food-grade material and equipped with a leak-proof screw cap. The only water container you need for both day hikes in the mountains and serious emergency preparedness at home.
Tip from the store: Pack the container completely empty and flat on your way out—it takes up almost no space in your backpack. Fill it at the first safe water source and carry it home. For your emergency supplies at home: fill two 10-liter containers, write the date on the outside with a marker, and replace the water every 6 months. That keeps you within the DSB minimum requirement of 9 liters per person for 3 days.
Why this is exactly the right water container for Norwegian conditions
Most collapsible water containers on the market are either too bulky, not durable enough, or made from plastic that gives the water an unpleasant taste. The Bodyguard container is benchmarked against the market standard Platypus Platy (0.5L–4L, approx. NOK 120–200) and clearly comes out on top in capacity per krone: 10 liters of clean drinking water for under NOK 100, made from food- and beverage-approved material.
The transparent material lets you check the water level and water quality at a glance – critical in an emergency situation where you may have filtered water from a stream and want to make sure it looks clear. The large screw cap makes it easy to fill from the tap or directly from a riverbank, and the handle is ergonomically designed to withstand a full load over longer distances.
For your personal emergency preparedness
The Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB) recommends that Norwegian households store a minimum of 9 liters of clean drinking water per person as an emergency reserve – enough for 3 days. With two 10-liter containers per adult in the household, you meet the recommendation while taking up minimal space in a storage room or basement. The container is made from food-grade, BPA-free polymer – safe for long-term drinking water storage.
