Have you ever shot at a hard surface with BB steel balls? We hope not, because then you’ve probably experienced how they ricochet all over the place.
H&N has come up with a smart solution to the problem: copper-plated lead BBs that flatten when they hit something hard, significantly reducing the risk of ricochets.
The lead in the center of the BB ensures that it is soft enough to deform on impact, while the smooth copper surface makes the BB hard enough not to be damaged when loaded into a spring-loaded magazine.
These BBs pose considerably less of a ricochet risk than regular steel BBs. With less ricochet, it’s both safer to shoot and the BBs end up littering a smaller area than if they were to bounce around uncontrollably.
