The Story Behind the M700 – A Military and Civilian Legend
The Remington Model 700 (M700) was launched in 1962 and has since become one of the best-known bolt-action rifles on the market.The platform became widely used in civilian hunting and sport shooting, and also formed the basis for several well-known military sniper rifles, including the US Marine Corps’ M40 series and the US Army M24 SWS.
The M700 design has built a strong reputation over several decades for its robust construction, accuracy, and simple, proven mechanism.
Specna Arms M700 RETRO draws inspiration from the classic M700 look, with the traditional, clean silhouette many associate with older bolt-action sniper rifles. This makes the model well suited for historically inspired loadouts, reenactment, and airsoft players who prefer classic weapon designs.
