They hold the power longer:
Even when not in use, NiMH batteries will have a power loss of up to 30% each month. Li-Fe batteries will lose 10% or less, which in turn eliminates the need to "top up" the battery.
They are safer than Li-Po (Lithium-Polymer) batteries:
